The Solar Series Pedestrian Activated Remote Transmitter allows wireless connection and communication with all Pedestrian Activated Crosswalk Beacons from several hundred yards away. When the pedestrian activated push button is pressed, the transmitter communicates with all intended crosswalk beacons within range greatly enhancing the effectiveness safety and capability of marked pedestrian crossings while decreasing the cost of installation and operation. These transmitters can allow the pedestrian push button to be mounted separately from the associated beacons without the need of trenching or cabling, sometimes necessary due to roadway obstructions and urban planning layouts.
